Monis scores twice as NESU beat YU 2-0; MPSC, UKB share point in Manipur State League

IMPHAL, Nov 17 : Yumnam Monis Singh scored twice as North East Sporting Union (NESU) beat Yarkhok United FC while Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) and United Khawzim Brothers (UKB) played out a 1-1 draw in today's Group A encounters of the ongoing 15th Manipur State League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong, today.
In the first match, NESU sealed a comfortable 2-0 win over Yarkhok United with both goals coming from forward Y Monis in the 31st and 48th minute.
The second match, also a Group A encounter between MPSC and United Khawzim Brothers, ended in 1-1 draw as the two teams couldn't find the deciding goal within the stipulated time.
In the closely contested match, Manglienboi Neihsial scored the opener and gave his team UKB a 1-0 lead in the first half but MPSC struck back and drew level the score line to 1-1 in the 74th minute.
