IMPHAL, Nov 6 : Hosts Kha Manipur Thang-Ta Academy sealed the overall title of the 1st Kakching District Thang-Ta Championship held at Pallel Community Hall, Pallel.
Kha Manipur Thang-Ta Academy amassed 24 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze medals to seal the overall title in the two-day event.
On the last day of the day, T Yaiphabi bagged sub-junior girls Thang-Haiba event gold for Kha Manipur Thang-Ta Academy as Ksh Robertson Singh won sub-junior boys Thang-Haiba gold.
Kha Manipur Thang-Ta Academy's Kh Panan (junior boys) and Th Alina (junior girls) also won Thang-Haiba gold medals in the same event while M Yohenba (sub-jr boys), T Nonglensana (sub-jr girls) and T Shrinibash (junior boys) win Thanglon event gold medals.
In the Thang-Haiba events, Hanjabam Shylliviy of Thoibi Thang-Ta-Moirang won junior girl's category gold, Lucky Yumkhaibam of the same unit win junior boys category gold and Dijen Shagolshem of Thang-Ta Maheikol won the senior men's gold. In the senior men's Phunaba ama events, Th Chinglensana of hosts unit (-44 kg), his unit mate Ph Abungcha (-50 kg), N Amarjit (-55 kg) and Kh Michael (-70 kg won gold medals)
