KFC emerge champions of Tbl Second Division Football League

IMPHAL, Nov 6 : Kanglei FC-Thoubal emerged champions of the Second Division Football League Tournament orgnised by DFA Thoubal at Kodompokpi Sports Complex with a total of 16 points.
KFC won 5 and drew one in the seven-team tournament to top the tourney and bagged first division league promotion as UMFC-Moijing finished runners up with 13 points from 4 wins and 1 draw in 6 matches.
The last day of the tournament saw UMFC blank SOCDEC, Wangjing by 3-0 goals.
Babur opened the scoring for UMFC in the 37th minute before N Dizango of the Wangjing team conceded an own goal in the 52nd minute to double the advantage.
Salatur then set up the huge win for the Moijing side with a fine goal at the stroke of the hour mark.
