Kings MCJ emerge champions of Thungkhu Soccer tourney

IMPHAL, Nov 7 : Kings MCJ beat PMT 5-4 on penalties after a 3-3 draw to seal the title of the 1st Thungkhu 9-A-Side Men's Open Football Tournament organised by Thungcheng Youth Club at its ground.
Kings MCJ were in command from the word go as Armstrong hit a brace (2', 25') to make it 2-0 but Daniel of PMT also found the net twice (66', 69') in quick succession to pull level before his teammate Ngamneo overturned the lead after 74 minutes.
Marconi of Kings MCJ however scored the equaliser in the 80th minute to force the game to end in a 3-3 draw.
Eventually the match was decided by penalty shoot-out where Kings MCJ emerged victorious 5-4 thanks to goals from Marconi, Armstrong, Mitchel, Thumson and Mongampha as only Haominlun, Ngamneo, Daniel and Sangmon scored for PMT.
Winners, runners-up teams; top scorers (joint)- Mungnou of Nantal FC and Daniel of PMT; best player-Armstrong Dilbung of Kings MCJ and best keeper, Mangkholen of PMT were feted during the valedictory function.
