IMPHAL, Nov 7 : Manipur men's football team got off to a flying start in the 2nd North East Olympic Games hosted by Meghalaya Olympic Association in Shillong.
The State team eased past Assam 3-0 today thanks to a double from Seigoumang Doungel while the other goal was scored by Haokholen Kipgen.
Seigoumang opened the scoring in the second minute during the additional time of the first half before Haokholen doubled the advantage in the 66th minute.
Seigoumang rose again for his second in the 74th minute to set up Manipur's 3-0 win against Assam.
