AITA Junior TourShanker in U-16 boys singles final; Avantika in both U-16 and U-18 girls singles finals

IMPHAL, Nov 8 : Shanker Heisnam has reached the U-16 boys singles final as Avantika Gutgotia of Tamil Nadu secured both the U-16 girls and U-18 girls singles final berths in the AITA Junior Tour being hosted by IDTA at Lamphel court.
Avantika confirmed her U-18 girls singles final spot with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Nistha Priya of Assam and will meet Hirva Rangani of Gujarat in the final.
Hirva sealed the remaining final spot with a hard fought 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 win over Adrika Rajkumari of Assam.
In the U-16 girls singles semi-final matches, Avantika sealed a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 comeback win over Hirva Rangani to set up the final date with Adrika Rajkumari who outlasted Aarna Raj of Odisha 6-3, 6-3.
U-18 Boys Singles
State lad Shanker Heisnam eased into the U-18 boys singles semi-final as he overwhelmed Shaurya Kumar of Maharashtra 6-0, 6-1 today.
He will play Twijilang Debbarma of Tripura who outlasted Th Devson of Manipur 6-1, 6-2 in another quarter final match.
In other quarter final matches, Riyan Kashyap of Assam prevailed 6-0, 6-0 over Aneesh V Udikeri of Karnataka and Rudra Gutgotia sealed an easy 6-1, 6-2 win over Rahil Mansuriya.
U-16 Boys singles
Shanker Heisnam entered the U-16 boys singles final with a 6-0, 6-2 semi-final victory over Rahil Mansuriya today.
He will either play Rudr Gotgotia or Riyan Kashyap in the final.
Earlier in the quarter final, Shanker saw off Twijilang Debbarma 6-2, 7-6 (7-1). In other quarter final matches, Rudr  eased 6-0, 6-0 past Devarsh Singar of Gujarat and Riya thrashed Madhav Dixit of Karnataka 6-2, 6-0.
