Merry Christmas

Asleep in deep I, cracker's sound at midnight opened my eyes.
Listened a thrilling tone, so familiar- Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell.
Echoed that, today is Merry Christmas day.
Slipped I back into childhood days, for an angelic story to tell.
Recalled I, now with the opened eyes full of tears,
How we toddlers adorned Christmas trees
With bells and bulbs, lighted flowers to flourish,
Strolled around we,in glee in Saint Santa’s guise.
To exchange pretty and hearty gifts, taste of sweets to cherish.
How kids worshiped Lord Christ, murmured prayers for good luck and love,
Ring toy bells, swayed diyas made of clays,
Danced and sang the tune in chorus but in so contrast,
As if, all dipped in divine roles in holy plays.
With time, might of maturity got its height.
Secret scent of godly love, It’s brilliant light
Beaming that out of the Lord’s Solemn sacrifice of life
For celestial cause of mankind, in a spiritual fight,
Enlightens aged souls those dwell in worldly night.
Its rays drilled deep into devotees' souls, bids to brighten
The darkness of hates and sins that hides at that site.
Its divinity has full of tendency to enforce unity in humanity,
For harmonious co-existence in tranquillity for prosperity in all society,
Disregard of caste, colour or religion,
Since time immemorial, from generation to generation.
Oh! Mortals, grasp essence of celestial celebration
On the Almighty’s birthday occasion .
May the God shower heavenly love and blessing on us
And i wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
