Mami Thawan Pro FC, PUBG United win in TKWA trophy

IMPHAL, May 9 : Mami Thawan Pro FC edged past SWC, Keirak 3-2 as PUBG United, Angtha thrashed Grow Marjing FC, Bamon Leikai 3-0 in today's Group A league matches of the ongoing TKWA Trophy 2021-22 at Tentha Multiplex Ground.
Mami Thawan got off to a roaring start with Lunminlal Haokip netting the opener in the 17th minute before Imran doubled the advantage in the 20th minute.
Lunminlal Haokip scored his second in the 25th minute as Mami Thawan Pro FC entered into the break with a 3-0 lead.
SWC, Keirak who were clueless in the opening half pulled back a goal via Raju in the 26th minute and further cut the deficit with Robinson scoring the second in the 32nd minute.
Mami Thawan Pro FC however upped the defence and held on to their lead till the final whistle.
Meanwhile in another match which emerged a lopsided encounter, E Joykishan hit a brace (28', 40') and N Bonision (46') added once to earn PUBG United, Angtha a comprehensive 3-0 win over Grow Marjing FC, Bamon Leikai.
