IMPHAL, May 14 : St Peter's Higher Secondary School and St Joseph's High School entered semi-finals of the Chandel District Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament for U-14 Boys which kicked off today at Sports Complex, Chandel Christian under the aegis of District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Chandel.
In the first quarter final match of the 6 team tournament, St Peter's Hr Secondary School knocked out Maha Union Government Hr Secondary School 3-0 to set up a semi-final date with Oriental Academy on May 16.
Meanwhile, St Joseph's High School beat Koinonia High School 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. They will meet Chakpikarong Government Hr Secondary School in the first semi-final match on May 16.
Koinonia High School, St Peter's Hr Secondary School enter U-17 boys semis
Koinonia High School and St Peter's Hr Secondary School also advanced to semi-finals of the U-17 boys competition beating their respective rivals.
In the first match of the 6-team knock-out tournament, Koinonia High School beat Anallon Christian Institute 5-3 on penalties after 1-1 regulation time draw.
They will lock horns with Maha Union Government Hr Secondary School who got a bye, for a place in the final on May 16 from 8 pm.
Meanwhile in the other quarter final match, St Peter's Hr Secondary School saw off Chakpikarong Government Hr Secondary School 3-0 to set up a semi-final clash with St Joseph's High School on May 16 from 7 am.
