Imphal, May 14:  Punjab and Mizoram registered emphatic wins as Chandigarh cruised to a 7-0 win in today's Pool league matches of the ongoing 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022 here at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Chandigarh kicked off their Pool F campaign with a comfortable 7-0 win over Arunachal thanks to Supriya's treble (17', 34', 53') in and doubles from Tamanna (15', 55') and captain Kamaldeep Kaur (41', 43').
Meanwhile, Punjab who had won 5-0 in the previous Pool G league match against Himachal Pradesh, carried forward their momentum to secure an emphatic 30-0 win against Tripura. The win also ensured Punjab a place in the quarter finals.
Punjab captain Sukhveer Kaur displayed an outstanding scoring performance adding as many as 12 goals (2', 5', 9', 20', 27', 33', 33', 44', 50', 53', 58', 60') alone including two goals off penalty corners in the one sided encounter. Her compatriot Ravneet Kaur also followed suit by chipping in five times (4', 35', 36', 46', 47') and Sukhmeet Kamboj hit a hattrick (11', 12', 14').
Harleen Kaur (10', 37'), Gurjeet Kaur (28', 56') and Kiranpreet Kaur (10', 51') also found their names on the scoresheet netting two goals apiece while Jaisikdeep Kaur (15'), Sania (19'), Pawanpreet Kaur (52') and Sukhwinder Kaur (59') also chipped in with a goal each and contribute in 30-0 demolition of the Tripura team.
In a Pool H clash, Karnataka edged past Bihar 2-1 close in to the last 8 stage of 25 team event. Sowmya Hv (40') and Rakshitha J (55') were the scorers for Karnataka, who had beaten Telangana 15-0 in the previous league match.
The sole goal for Bihar was scored by Kajal Kachhap in the 56th minute.
In another Pool H clash, Mizoram ramped up their quarter final berth campaign with a 23-0 annihilation of Telangana.
The Mizoram girls had beaten Bihar 7-0 in the previous match and came out all guns blazing today against Telangana to secure the landslide victory.  Lalpeksangi made the most of the chances to score four goals alone (10', 14', 20', 21') including two goals in the opening quarter as  Mizoram led 4-0.
Captain Lalrinpuii (8', 22', 23'), F Lalbiaksiami (13', 27', 52') and Mang Lawmsang (17', 42', 52') also chipped in with three goals apiece for the winning side whose Lalnei-hpuii (24', 27'), Laldinpuii (35', 39'), Vanlalrinhlui (31', 47') and Ruthi Lallawmzuali (6', 28') fired home two goals each.  Lal Tlanchhungi (30') also added a goal before Remruatpuii completed the scoring in the 55th minute of the match.
