State Sub-Junior boxing team head for Karnataka

IMPHAL, May 18 : A 23-member boxing team including five officials have left Imphal for the National Sub-Junior Boys and Girls Championship beginning tomorrow at Bellary Torongulu, Karnataka.
The players who will be representing Manipur in the National Championship are:
Girls : Thoudam Merina (36 kg), Ningthoujam Leona (38 kg), Aheibam Thoibisana (40 kg), Angom Jayabati (42 kg), Thokchom Lucky (44 kg), Radhamani Longjam (46 kg), Aheibam Soniya (48 kg), Ningthoujam Anjali (50 kg) and Chirom Joyshree (58 kg).
Boys : Jasobanta Yengkhom (35 kg), Laishangbam Uningba Khuman (37 kg), Thingom Rishi (40 kg), Ningthoujam Naocha (43 kg), Khaidem Sanatomba (46 kg), Thoumujam Paikhomba Meitei (49 kg), Konjengbam Rakesh (52 kg), Pravin Naorem (55 kg) and Keisham Thoungamba Singh.
The team will be accompanied by coaches M Shyamchandra Singh (chief coach), N Sangita and Y Priyo apart from L Chitaranjan (coach cum manager) and Y Jayantaram (manager).
The championship will culminate on May 27.
