Sub-Jr Women's Hockey : Haryana vs Mizoram in first quarter final match

IMPHAL, May 18 : Pool A winners Haryana will face off against Pool H winners Mizoram tomorrow morning in the first quarter final match of the 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship being hosted in Imphal by Manipur Hockey.
Haryana topped the table with comprehensive 12-0 and 7-0 wins against Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal in the Pool stage while Mizoram topped the Pool H table with three straight victories (7-0 against Bihar, 23-0 against Telangana and 2-0 against Karnataka).
Playing in the second quarter final will be Pool C winners Uttar Pradesh and Pool F winners Chandigarh. In the league stage, Uttar Pradesh overwhelmed Gujarat 21-0 and Chattisgarh 8-2 while Chandigarh won 7-0 over Arunachal Pradesh and 10-0 against Tamil Nadu.
Pool D winners Madhya Pradesh will take on Pool E winners Maharashtra in the third quarter final match before Pool B winners Jharkhand lock horns with Pool G winners, Punjab in the last quarter final encounter.
Madhya Pradesh book the quarter final berth beating Uttarakhand 3-0 and Odisha 1-0 in the Pool league stage as Maharashtra sealed 3-1 win over Assam and got a walkover against Delhi (forfeited).
Meanwhile, Jharkhand won 10-0 against Kerala and 4-1 against hosts Manipur to top Pool B. Punjab on the other hand had sealed the quarter final berth on the back of 5-0 win against Arunachal Pradesh and 30-0 demolition of Tripura in the Pool G league competition.
