IMPHAL, May 19 : Utlou High School will lock horns with TG English School, Bishnupur in the U-14 boys final clash of the 61st District Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament organi-sed by DYASO, Bishnupur at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur.
In the first semi-final match of the tournament, Utlou HS overwhelmed Pinjabati HS, Wangoo by 4-1 goals thanks to W John brace.
Pinjabati HS had a positive start with M Stevin Kom hitting the opener early in the 6th minute but game slipped away from them after the restart as Kh Alex scored the equaliser for the Utlou side in the 39th minute before Sh Rojit Singh overturned the lead in the 44th minute.
W John then scored two goals back to back in the 48th and the 58th minutes to hand Utlou HS a comfortable 4-1 victory and the final ticket.
Meanwhile, TG English School trounced GNK English School-Thinungei 6-0 to set up a final date with Utlou HS.
TG Eng School got off to a brilliant start and were 3-0 ahead before the break as E Nipa opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Th Anish shone with two goals back to back in the 16th and the 19th minutes.
Y Arkelish (39'), M Manithoiba (47') and E Nestanboy (55') then pumped in a goal each in the second half to help TG English blank GNK English School.
The final line up of the U-17 boys tournament was also completed today with TG English School and Keinou High School securing semi-final victories.
In the first semi-final match, TG English School edged out Bishnupur Hr Secondary School 3-1 to book the final ticket.
K Rojit Singh (9') and Kamei Langanglung (14') took their turns to help TG English School enter the break with a 2-1 lead as Kh Manglemba scored it for the losing side and it was Suraj Wangkhem who hit the decisive goal in the 44th minute of the match.
The second semi-final between Keinou HS and Pinjabati HS was however a neck and neck affair and the two sides were locked at 1-1 till the regulation time.
Eventually the winners were decided via penalty shoot-out wherein L Rohit, M Newton, N Rohit and H Torres beat the Pinjabati HS custodian to seal the game 5-3 as only Pritam and Mangal were on the target for Pinjabati HS.
The final matches of both the competitions are scheduled tomorrow.
