P Lalringkhu, Sektaikarong and Thamlapokpi reach All Lamkang Sports Meet football quarters

IMPHAL, May 21 : P Lalringkhu, Sektaikarong and Thamlapokpi made their way to the quarter finals of the All Lamkang Sports Meet men's football being organised by the Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (LKK) at Angkhel Chayang playground.
In the 13th match of the tournament staged this morning, Sektai Karong rode on Kh Thamsing goal in the 45th minute to beat Betuk Kvaarkhu 1-0 and set up a quarter final date with Angkhel Chayang on May 23.
In the 14th match of the tournament staged this after from 1 pm, Thamlapokpi and Ringdamkhu RSC played out a 1-1 draw in the regulation time before winning 6-5 (7-6 final score) on penalties to set up a quarter final date  with Laiktla on May 23.
SK Darpol did open the scoring for Thamlapokpi in the 16th minute but conceded the lead when SK Japhet scored and brought his side on level terms in the 50th minute.
As the two sides failed to find the winner, the game was decided via tie breaker during which Th Boaz, Th Rengringsel, Th Warngam, Th Selhon, K Clington and SK Stallon managed to find the target for the winning side.
SK Japhet, Kh Rakesh, Th Kamshul, K Issac and K Rengdon in the meantime scored for Ringdamkhu RSC.
Meanwhile, in the 15th match of the tournament P Lalringkhu beat Phaidaam  Youth Club 3-1 on penalties after 2-2 normal time draw.
SK Bungam (1') and JV Shethot (9') scored for Phaidaam Youth Club as Koningwar (7') and Bungring (35') helped P Ralringkhu rally back twice and make the competition wide open.
In the penalty shoot-out only Bungjoy found the back of the net for unlucky Phaidaam Youth Club as Bungring, Shetring and Wangtong all scored from the spot for P Ralringkhu.
P Ralringkhu will meet Khuibung in the quarter final match on May 23.
