Training programme on Traditional String Puppetry organised

IMPHAL, May 23
The Moppet Decoration and Cultural Centre (MDCC) organised a training programme for 'Making cum Exhibition of the Traditional String Puppetry of Kabui Naga Dance' from May 12 till 21.
The training programme was sponsored by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi and it was held under the supervision of Gurus/Puppeteers-L Thambalngou Singh, G Jugeshwor Sharma and G Shija Devi, said a press release by MDCC.
The valedictory function of the training programme attended by 20 trainees was held on May 21 at MDCC at Yumnam Huidrom Thiyam Leishangkhong in Imphal West district. The function was graced by G Shija Devi, Guru of Puppetry, L Bihari Singh, former teacher and L Sanajao Singh, Counsellor of Thongkhong Laxami as the presidium members, added the release.
