State Yoga team flagged off

A strong 70-member Manipur yoga team for the 25th National Yogasana Championship to be held at Kola Union High School, Kolaghat in Medinipur, West Bengal formally flagged off today by the Chairman of Autonomous District Council, Tamenglong, Namsenrei Panmei.
Namsenrei Panmei also extended financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the State team, said the Yoga Physique Institute and Studies (YPISM) in a press release.
As per an office memorandum of the Yoga Physique Institute and Studies the players who will be representing Manipur in the championship to be organised under the auspices of Yoga Physique Federation of India (YPFI) are as follows.
Boys (8-13 years) : Laishram Diamond and Suntajit Adhikarimayum;
Boys (13-18 years) : A Luwang, P Shrinivash, L Manichandra, K Kapil, T Jirankumar, N Meiraba and Shivananda Thiyam;
Boys (18-25 years) : L Chinglemba;
Girls upto 8 years: Nungshithoi Ningthoujam, Vincy Leima S;
Girls (8-13 years) : N Satyabhama, L Alvish, Ng Rameshwori, Y Lanthoibi and Y Thasana;
Girls (13 to 18 years) : Nandita N, Tapashree M, Kh Chaningkhombi;
Girls (18 to 25 years) : Y Shantilata;
Male 25 to 35 years : RK Koireng Singh;
Female 25 to 35 years : Ng Deviyarani;
Male 35 to 50 years : Dr S Subhaschandra;
Female 35 to 50 years : Kh Ibemcha, S Surnalata, H Durgeshwori, A Shomobala, Th Romila and H Joybi;
Male above 50 years : M Bijoy, S Imocha, Y Sanajaoba;
Female above 50 years : L Ibemcha, N Chandramukhi, L Suniti, E Brojeshwori, M Mamtaj, Ksh Chitralekha, RK Tamphasana, G Shanikiran, O Mamta, N Sabitri and L Bimola;
Differently abled persons
Boys : Th Bobo Singh, A John, L Roshan and RK Bikendrajit;
Girls : L Bena, Monika Y, Gaijillu Kamei and Th Helena.
The team were led by 17 member officials with Dr G Satyabhama, secretary of YPISM as chef de mission, Acharya A Devananda, vice president YPFI as team manager, Ph Manichandra, executive member of YPFI as team coach (male), K Nomita as team coach (female) among others.
