Free eye screening camp conducted

IMPHAL, May 24
A comprehensive free eye screening camp was held at Leimaram Waroiching in Bishnupur district today jointly organized by Leimaram Waroiching Youth Development Club, Bishnupur District and Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol.
As per a press release from Shija Hospitals, a total of 71  patients were examined for eye related problems where four cataracts and seven pterygiums were diagnosed.
Doctors along with other supporting staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation examined the patients.
Those patients detected with eye related problems will be treated under National Programme for Control of Blind ness-National Health Mission (NPCB-NHM)/ CMHT/PMJAY Scheme.
It may be noted that Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with various local clubs and NGOs has been organizing free eye check-up camps on a regular basis, added the release.
