MLA inspects water supply schemes

BISHNUPUR, May 24 : A team led by Kumbi MLA S Premchandra inspected six water supply projects/schemes to be undertaken across Kumbi AC in connection with Jal Jeevan Mission and funded by National Development Bank today.
The MLA was joined by Puyam Rambo, Executive Engineer, PHED Bishnupur Division, P Baleshor, Pradhan, Wangoo Terakhong GP and S Angousana, president, BJP Kumbi Mandal among others during the inspection visit.
The water supply schemes will be undertaken across Kumbi at Ithai, Saiton, Sagolpat, Wathalambi, Torbung, Tampha Khunou, Naodakhong, Khullakpat, Leingangtabi, Chairel, Pombikhok, Tangjeng and Napat. Out of these, today's inspection visit covered Napat, Tangjeng, Chairel, Haotak Tampha Khunou, Naodakhong and Wathalambi.
It may be noted that these undertakings were carried out as part of 'Providing Drinking Water Supply to Rural Area of Manipur' scheme and to be carried out by M/s Vishnu Prakash Company. The total cost of these water supply schemes have been estimated at Rs 16.86 crore.
Speaking from the sideline of the inspection, MLA S Premchandra expressed happiness at the prospect of the public of Kumbi having easy access to clean drinking water.
He also appealed to the people to extend their support and cooperation to M/s Vishnu Prakash Company as they set about completing the schemes.
Puyam Rambo stated that the goal was to complete the 13 water supply schemes  within 6 months and hand them over to the public.
