Approach roads washed away

SENAPATI, May 25 : Landslides caused by recent incessant rain have washed away two approach roads leading to the proposed Makhrelui UJB School situated near Pouna Colony, above Zaikarii stream in Makhrelui, Senapati.
Two approach roads, one from Zaikarii colony to the proposed school building of about 250 meters approximately and another from Pouna Colony to the school building measuring about 20-30 meters in length were washed away by landslides due to the recent torrential rains.
Makhrelui Village Council stated that although landslides had not affected the school building, it is likely to slide downward if proper retaining wall and proper drainage is not maintained at the earliest.
The Makhrelui Village Council has requested the authority concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
