Village authority appeals for peace, ATWO condemns clash

Khangsim Village Authority has appealed to the District Administration, Tengnoupal and authorities concerned to bring an understanding amongst the two groups involved in the tussle that occurred on May 23 at Khangsim Bazar area, Machi Block in connection with the inauguration of a market shed.
In a statement, Khangsim Village Authority expressed shock and regret at the unfortunate incident which injured many people.
The statement also alleged that in 1974, the then Deputy Commissioner (TPL), Chandel had recognised the existence of Khangsim village.
Separately, All Tribal Women's Organisation (ATWO) has also appealed to  all women involved in the clash of May 23 to disengage from any conflict.
ATWO also condemned the incident and made an appeal not to cause panic to civilians through such unwanted incidents and expressed their sympathy towards those injured in the clash.
