Absconder held

IMPHAL, May 25 : A combined team of Bihar police and Kakching police arrested a non local who has been declared as proclaimed absconder for 'murdering'  his wife in March 2019 from Lamjao under Waikhong police station today.  
According to credible sources, a team of Bihar police executed a warrant of arrest against the proclaimed offender Alok Kumar Singh @ Bambam Singh, s/o Laliteshwar Singh of Rampuri Parori, Bihar for murdering his wife in March 2019.
Based on the specific information, the combined team carried out search operation in suspected places at Lamjao area and arrested the murder accused this morning.
Sources further stated that Sitamarhi police, after investigation, submitted a charge sheet against the accused before the Court concerned but the accused absconded after getting bail from Bihar High Court.
Reportedly, the murder accused will be taken to Bihar after taking transit remand.
