MARD pull off 3-2 win over MINE-B in TKWA Trophy

IMPHAL, May 25 : MARD, Moirang clinched a 3-2 win over MINE-B, Chingarel in a keenly contested Group B league match of the ongoing TKWA Trophy.
MARD started slowly and took a narrow 1-0 lead in the first half thanks to K Ronaldo's goal in the 5th minute and were 2-0 ahead when S Samson found the net again in the 28th minute.
S Samson rose again to further extend the lead in the 35th minute but MINE, who were off target for a major portion of the game, clawed back with Gifson and Ph Rocky scoring a goal each in the 36th and the 41st minutes.
The Moirang side however held off latter challenges to seal all three points.
In another Group B league match, Sana FC, Thoubal and Wangoi FC played out a 1-1 draw. Thoiba was first to score for the Thoubal side but Angousana pulled back a goal deep into the stoppage time (50+2') to salvage a point for Wangoi FC.
