IMPHAL, May 8 : SAIRC-B and IMSUC, Heingang won the 23rd Junior Girls and Boys State Level Sepak Takraw Championships titles respectively as IMSUC-A clinched the 23rd Sub-Junior Boys Championship crown.
In the Sub-Junior Girls final, SAIRC-B beat SAIRC-A 21-16 15-21 14-21 to earn the top honour.
Earlier in a crucial league match which would decide the league runners up, SAIRC-B beat SAIRC-C 21-12 25-24 to set up a final date with runaway leaders SAIRC-A. In another inconsequential match, PUC, Kairang beat SWC, Hiyanglam 21-19 19-21 21-12 in a see-saw competition.
Meanwhile in the junior boys' final, IMSUC beat SAIRC-A 15-21 21-16 21-19 to fetch the title.
Earlier, in the league round matches, SAIRC-A, Imphal beat PUC Kairang 21-13 21-10 and SAIRC-C 21-12 21-13 to finish league winners and book the final berth.
Meanwhile, IMSUC beat SAIRC-C 21-13 21-10 for the fourth win and emerged league runners up.
In other league round matches, SAIRC-B beat PUC, Kairang 21-7 21-13 and SWC-B 21-16 21-9; and AKSTA beat SWC-A 21-17 22-20 and PUC Kairang 21-10 21-18.
Elsewhere, IMSUC-A sealed the sub-junior boys title beating SAIRC-A 21-19 21-17 in the final.
IMSUC-A who emerged Group A league stage winners reached the final with a 21-16 21-19 win over SWC-A in the semis while Group B winners, SAIRC-A beat Group B runners up SAIRC-B 5-21 23-21 21-18 to complete the final line up.
SWC-A however sealed the third place title as they overwhelmed SAIRC-B 23-21 21-16. It may be noted that PUC and SWC-A emerged mini girls and boys champions respectively and IMSUC-A claimed the sub-junior girls title.
