Month-long "Ta-Khousaba workshop cum production" ends

IMPHAL, Jun 19 : A month-long "Ta-Khousaba Workshop cum Production" organised by Sana Leibak Manipur Hakchang Shajel Thang-Ta Shindam Shanglen, Nambol came to end today.
The closing ceremony of the workshop cum production programme was held at the office of the Sana Leibak Manipur Hakchang Shajel Thang-Ta Shindam Shanglen at Nambol today, said the Thang-Ta school in a press release. The programme was attended by K Sanathoiba Sharma, director of Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee as the chief guest among others.
Delivering keynote address, general secretary of the Shindam Shanglen, Haorung-bam Bishwarup maintained that the institute has been making relentless effort in preserving the indigenous martial art form and in further popularising the artfrom.
As a part of the larger programme to disseminate the knowledge of the art form, the workshop on "Ta-Khousaba" was organised under the sponsorship of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, he added. Thang-Ta enthusiasts attending the workshop also enthralled the dignitaries and other attendees with "Ta-Khousaba " demonstration at the occasion, the release added.
