36th Senior State Level SepaktakrawStage set for men's and women's semi-finals

IMPHAL, Jun 28 : The semi-final line up of both the men's and women's regu events of the 36th Senior State Sepaktakraw Championships organised by Youth Amateur Welfare Association (YAWA), Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai under the auspices of All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association were completed today.
In the men's semi-final, Group A winners IMSUC, Heingang will play Group B runners up SWC, Hiyanglam while Group B winners, MPSC-B will take on Group A runners up MPSC-C.
MPSC-B emerged Group B winners yesterday as they beat PUC beat 21-10, 21-16 for the third win before snatching two more wins, beating ALSA 21-8, 21-18 and easing 21-9, 21-14 past SWC.
In a group A league match staged earlier yesterday, YAWA-A, Singjamei edged past SAIRC-B 21-15, 19-21, 21-17.
The day also saw SWC beat YAWA-B 21-; PUC-A beat SWC 2-1 and YAWA-B beat ALSA 2-0.
Meanwhile, the last four rounds of the women's championship will see Group A winners MPSC take on Group B runners up PUC-A and Group B winners SAIRC-A play Group A runners up SAIRC-B.
In today's league matches, SAIRC-A who have beaten PUC-A 21-14, 21-19; IMSUC 21-9, 21-7 and SAIRC 21-15, 21-9 in yesterday's matches, secured a 21-10, 21-7 win over SWC-B to emerge Group B winners.
Meanwhile, SAIRC-B secured the semi-final ticket beating PUC-B 18-21, 21-12, 21-19 for the third win in 5-team Group A league competition.
Yesterday, SAIRC-B lost 13-21, 18-21 to MPSC in the opening match but improved themselves to thump SAIRC-C  20-22, 21-20, 21-16 and eased past SWC-A 22-21, 21-6.
In other Group B league matches staged today, PUC-A beat SAIRC-D 17-21, 21-14, 21-17 and IMSUC carved out a 22-20, 17-21, 21-17 win over SAIRC-D.
Yesterday, MPSC also faltered and lost 1-2 to SWC-A before beating PUC-B 24-22, 16-21, 21-15 for the second win.
