State Senior Sepaktakraw C'ship : IMSUC, SAIRC-A take men's and women's titles

IMPHAL, Jun 29 : IMSUC, Heingang and SAIRC-A, Takyel were crowned men's and women's champions in the 36th Senior State Sepak Takraw Championship hosted by Youth Amateur Welfare Association (YAWA), Singjamei Leishangthem under the supervision of the All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association.
In the men's title clash, IMSUC who had beaten SWC, Hiyanglam yesterday in a semi-final clash dropped the second set to MPSC-B after a tough start but clawed their way back to seal the game 21-19, 12-21, 21-10.
MPSC-C, who suffered semi-final loss to MPSC-B yesterday, bagged the third place beating SWC yesterday evening.
In the women's final, SAIRC-A prevailed 21-18, 21-18 over MPSC to earn the top honour.
SAIRC-B bagged third place title beating PUC-A yesterday.
Winners, runners-up and other participants were feted with trophies during the valedictory function held today.
