GUWAHATI, Jun 6 : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that an intense spell of rainfall is likely to continue over North East India and Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.
Already several parts of the country experienced isolated heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours.
The IMD has also predicted heatwave conditions in parts of Odisha, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan and other parts of the country.
Widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next five days.
Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over Meghalaya during June 8- 10.
