Four more test positive

IMPHAL, Jun 30: The total number of Covid-19 active cases has surged to 20 after three residents of Imphal West and another of Kangpokpi district were confirmed positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.
The four cases were detected while testing a total of 77 samples, taking the daily positivity rate to 5.2 percent. With two persons returning positive results out of 18 samples, Imphal West returned a daily positivity rate of 16.7 percent while Kangpokpi returned 100 percent positivity rate as the lone case was detected while checking one sample. Nonetheless, the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there is no further report of Covid related death.
Following recovery, two Covid-19 positive individuals were discharged during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,270 (general population 1,32,256 and Central security personnel 5,014). This figure includes 20 active cases from general population and 1,35,130 recovered cases (general population 1,30,123 and Central security personnel 5,007). The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,61,228 (first dose 15,92,474, second dose 12,57,992 and precautionary dose 110,762).
Till Wednesday, 61.97 per cent of the State’s total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 53.16 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
