Inpi Chamber of Commerce inaugurated

Commerce & Industry Minister, Nemcha Kipgen has categorically stated that developing a strong policy related to Commerce and Industry is the need of the hour, for the growth and stability of the economy.
Nemcha Kipgen made the statement during the inaugural function of Inpi Chamber of Commerce (ICC) today at KIC Complex, Churachandpur.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, she stressed on the need to develop a structural platform to bring the "desired changes" to the public.
"We need alternative sources of sustainable livelihoods for every member of the society through establishment of business opportunities and generation of employment", said Nemcha while adding that the draft policy has been circulated to different Departments for comments.
Highlighting the need to renovate DIC and streamlining of PMEGP, the Minister continued that the Common Facility Centre in Churachandpur has to be revamped to provide better service to the people.
"Let us put our differences aside and work for the development of our land", she asserted.
The ICC Churachandpur was constituted with a vision "to strive for achieving complete economic freedom and self-reliance through entrepreneurship, creation of jobs and opportunities in the society".
Paolenlal Haokip, MLA Saikot AC and Letpu Haokip, president Kuki Inpi Churachandpur attended the function as presidium members.
Tribe leaders, CSO leaders and local entrepreneurs also attended the function.
