67th State Bank Day celebrated

CCP/SPI, Jul 1 : One of the most reputed and trusted banks in the District, State Bank of India (SBI), Senapati today commemorated its 67th Foundation Day.
It was attended by Sol Chalai, Chief Manager SBI Senapati; Karthik Malladi, IPS, SP Senapati; L Angshim Dangshawa, IAS, SDO Paomata; and Sibo Lohrii, proprietor of Mt Zion Hr Sec School among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Sol Chalai informed that under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), SBI has come up with a proposal to support selected schools by upgrading its infrastructure for the welfare of the students.
"After analyzing the performance of the schools, under CSR activity, the bank has donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh each to Mt Zion Hr Sec School, Karong and Lao Radiant Hr Sec School Vakho to upgrade the computer lab and set up a science laboratory", he added.
Karthik Malladi highlighted the importance of SBI and its contributions towards the district.
He acknowledged and appreciated SBI Senapati for providing excellent customer services based on the feedback of public and police personnel.
Sibo Lohrii and Khangyo Silas Maveio extended their gratitude to the bank for providing the fund to upgrade the school infrastructure.
Moreover, on the occasion of 67th State Bank Day, SBI Foundation provided a Mobile Medical Van under SBI Sanjeevani-Clinic on Wheels project to its partner NGO, Goodwill Foundation at B Aijalon village, Churachandpur district today.
The programme was attended by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Churachandpur, Dr Kim Simte; Mangkholet Haokip, Chief Manager (C&OPS) RBO Imphal; LDM of Churachandpur, H Haukhanpau; K Muanzova Duhlian, Chief Manager (CCPUR Branch); Goodwill Foundation secretary, Christopher Lun and other board members.
Several village chiefs of the area also participated in the programme.
