LMLCC, SDO post comfortable wins in Kakching 1st Divn League

IMPHAL, Sep 26 : LMLCC-Langmeidong and SDO-Pallel registered comprehensive victories today in the ongoing 19th Ksh Kishorkumar Memorial 1st Division Football League 2022 organised by DSA Kakching at Lamjao playground.
In the second match of this 7-team tournament, LMLCC conceded a goal early on to SFC-Sugnu but made a fine comeback to post a 4-1 win courtesy E Birendrakumar double.
P Japan was first to score and gave SFC the lead in the 9th minute but LMLCC pulled level in the 42nd minute through E Birendrakumar.
After the break, E Avinash completed the turnaround with a fine finish in the 54th minute before E Birendrakumar hit the target yet again to hand LMLCC a comfortable 3-1 lead after 78 minutes.
Y Avinash then slammed home the penultimate goal in the 86th minute to ensure LMLCC a 4-1 finish.
In yet another high scoring encounter, H Jack and Kh Devaraj netted two goals each to give SDO-Pallel a huge 5-2 win over UCC-Kakching.
SDO got off to a flying start as H Jack scored two goals back to back in the 7th and the 25th minutes but UCC fought back to pull level before the break thanks to Ksh Ronaldo's brace (35', 41').
SDO, however, regained control over the possession after the break and retained the lead courtesy of Kh Devaraj's 62nd minute strike.
UCC further slipped behind with S Tompok finding another goal for SDO in the 87th minute before Devaraj completed his double one minute from time to make it 5-2.
AIFA-Irengband will play LMLCC in the next match on September 28 from 12.15 pm before DYA-Elang Khangpokpi take on SDO-Pallel in the second ground from 2.30 pm.
