YWU, KMSWC victorious in Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Divn League

IMPHAL, Sep 27 : YWU-Kakching and KMSWC-Keirak emerged victorious in today's matches of the ongoing 20th Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division Football League.
In the Group A match of the day, YWU eased to a 4-1 win over Juvenile Association (JA)-Kakching thanks to Ksh Johnson double.
YWU started the game on a bright note with Ksh Johnson scoring after 8 minutes before his team mate A Bisan doubled the advantage in the 20th minute at Lamjao playground.
JA pulled back a goal in the 21st minute via M Pravesh but Johnson scored his second in the 25th minute to make it 3-1 before Ksh Kanta sealed the deal with a fine strike in the 67th minute.
The two sides were reduced to 10-man teams as Nandaman Ch of YWU and S Shankar of JA were sent off in the 73rd minutes for rash unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Later in a Group B match, KMSWC-Keirak edged past SAO-Kakching 2-1 courtesy goals from Md Meraj Alam (2') and Md Arif (18'). M Minaketan scored the consolation goal for SAO during the additional time (45+3') of the opening half.
LYA will play KMSWC in the next Group B league match on September 29 from 12.15 pm before SWC-Keirak take on UBSA-Mantak in a Group A match from 2.30 pm.
