SFC, PSWAS victorious in Tbl 3rd Divn League

IMPHAL, Sep 28 : SFC-Salungpham ended two game losing streak in the 3rd Division Football League Tournament organised by DFA Thoubal with a 3-1 beating of Sana FC-Thoubal at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing today.
Niranjan opened the scoring for SFC today in the 26th minute to hand his team a slender 1-0 lead in the first half but Sana FC pulled level in the 48th minute through Nanao.
Niranjan however scored again in the 70th minute to help SFC regain the lead before S Yaima cleared all the doubts of a Sana FC comeback with a 76th minute goal.
Earlier in the day, PSWAS-Sangaiyumpham eased to their second victory with a 4-1 thrashing of UM FC-Moijing.
PSWAS made a brilliant start with Arish Khan scoring the opener in the 6th minute and Sahir Alam netting the second in the 19th minute to make it 2-0 before the break.
UMFC pulled back a goal through Ramish Khan in the 51st minute but Md Kamal earned PSWAS the two goal advantage with a fine strike in the 57th minute.
To PSWAS's advantage, Washim Akram of UM FC conceded an own goal in the 64th minute to ensure PSWAS walked home 4-1.
