Manipur finish Junior Girls Subroto Cup runners-up

IMPHAL Sep 28 : Manipur went down by 1-3 goals to Jharkhand in the 61st Junior Girls Subroto Cup final to settle for the runners up spot. It may be noted that Wangoi Higher Secondary School were representing Manipur at the international inter school football championship.
The lone goal of the State team was scored by Remi in the 50th minute before the normal time ended in a 1-1 draw.
The game was further extended to extra time wherein the Jharkhand team represented by St Patrick's High School added two more goals to seal the game 3-1 and took the tourney title.
