JSYC, Tintong FC win as KFA Night Tourney resumes

KANGPOKPI, Sep 28: After postponing a few matches owing to heavy rainfall, the Kuki Football Academy resumed its night tournament yesterday evening.
In the first match, Football FC held Chalbung Youth Club to a 1-1 draw. Satginlal of Chalbung YC found the opener in the 15th minute but it was equalized in the 43rd minute by Football FC through its striker Thanglenmang.
In the second match, Jamsat Songtun Youth Club (JSYC) nailed down Chalwa Youth Club 3-1. Lalkhanlen (11'), Lalsiem (56'), and Jangkhangin (60') scored for JSYC while Ngamminthang pulled back a goal for Chalwa Youth Club in the 58th minute.
In the third match, Tintong Football Club had an easy 5-0 win over United Sipijang Junior. Gungin shone bright as he netted the first hat trick of the tournament for Tintong FC with goals coming up in the 10th, 11th, and 44th minutes while Ango (30') and Mangminlal (58') scored one goal each.
Despite heavy downpour again last evening, the organizing committee decided to go ahead but if rain continues there is a possibility to postpone the matches again.
