IMPHAL, Sep 29: TRAU triumph over NISA 4-1 while NACO downed Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM) 5-0 at the ongoing 15th Manipur State League 2022 today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong.
In today's first match between NACO and AIM, NACO's Ngairangbam Rakesh netted an early goal in the 7th minute of the game to take the lead in the first half of the match.
With one goal already under his name, Rakesh went on to add three more goals including a penalty (54', 62' penalty and 87') while Laishram Binoy scored another goal for NACO in 90+1'.
Neither the AIM's defense nor the attack were enough to face Rakesh's quadruple as they went down 0-5 to NACO.
In another match between NISA and TRAU, Khumanthem Arun opened the goal account for TRAU in the 35th minute of the game. He added yet another goal in the 44th minute to take a 2-0 lead by the end of the first half. Having an upperhand by the end of the first half, TRAU started strong in the second half. RK Chiranjan scored the third goal for TRAU in the 51st minute.
NISA's Seigouthang Khongsai managed to pull back a goal in the 70th minute to close the gap to 1-3 but Chiranjan added another goal for TRAU in the 80th minute and the match ended in a 4-1 win for TRAU.
