Time’s ceaseless voyage

Time as always, on its ceaseless voyage
Like grains of sand through fingers
Like a river’s unrelenting stream
It flows unceasingly, waiting for none
It wouldn’t hinge even a little bit

Even if we beg it to stay, that’s its creed
With every tick of the clock
With each second that passes
We move a step closure to tomorrow
A step farther from our yesterdays

In between, we seek the meaning of life
Sometimes we seek in the island of love
Sometimes in the embrace of our family
Sometimes in our dreams and passions
Only in its depth, the answer lies

That life is all about embracing the moment
And every heartbeat is a story to tell
Yet some stories will go untold and unheard
With every cycle of dawn and dusk
Season will change, from summer to winter

Years will march on cascading like waterfall
Our hairs will turn grey and white
With wrinkles on our face sculpted by time
Leaving traces of every life’s embrace
And we will depart as the sun sets

We have to, it’s life decree
Yet knowing that we eternally stand
In the hearts of our beloved ones
Only to be realized at the end that
It’s the love and shared moments
And not the wealth and gold
That stood the harsh storm
In the ceaseless voyage of time
