M Kabiraj progresses into IBA Junior World Boxing quarters

IMPHAL, Nov 29 : Manipuri boxer Moirangthem Kabiraj has moved into the last-8 stage of the 63 kg category competition in the IBA Junior World Boxing Championship being hosted by Armenia at its capital Yerevan.
The State boxer representing India sealed the last-8 round berth with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Poland's Milosz Korcyl in a pre-quarter final bout. Earlier in the first round, Kabiraj defeated Mate Saric of Croatia.
Kabiraj was born to Moirangthem Brojen and Moirangthem ongbi Rasheshwori Devi of Khangabok Part 3.
The championship will run till December 4.
