Mizoram logs over 70 pc turnout

Around three quarters of eligible voters in Chhattisgarh and Mizoram have voted on Tuesday (November 7), Election Commission figures said at 7 pm.
The poll body recorded an approximate voter turnout trend of 71.11% for twenty of Chhattisgarh’s ninety Assembly Constituencies that went to the polls today.
Mizoram recorded an approximate voter turnout trend of 77.32%.
Mizoram’s Tuikum seat registered a voter turnout trend of 87.32%, the State’s highest yet.
ECI data showed that as of 7 pm, the Constituency with the lowest turnout in Mizoram was Aizawl East-I, where 65.97% of eligible voters exercised their franchise.
There are 40 seats in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly and elections were held for all of them today.
