IMPHAL, Feb 1 : Another 38 acres of poppy plantations were destroyed at Ukhrul and Chandel today.
Today, security forces and forest officials along with volunteers of Champung and Tora carried out a poppy destruction drive at Tora-Champhung hill range in Ukhrul and destroyed about 30 acres of plantation.
Another team of security forces and the Japhou Bazar Authority destroyed eight acres of poppy plants at Old Lamkang Khunthak Village in Chandel district.
