DM Bishnupur imposes restrictions

District Magistrate Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram, has imposed a banned on plying or servicing of all unregistered vehicles both commercial & non-commercial, and driving of any vehicles defined under Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 without valid licences with immediate effect.
A release issued by the DM Bishnupur informed that the restriction was imposed in pursuance of the Notification of the Directorate of Transport, dated November 18 , 2022, read with the provisions under Section 39 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
"This order shall also be applicable for all E-Rickshaws in the district in pursuance of the said provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988", it added.
The DM also directed the Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur to ensure proper implementation of the order and duly submit weekly reports of all vehicles & persons apprehended in violation of the order and other provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
