Thangmeiband Youth Centre celebrates 31st foundation day

IMPHAL, Feb 2: Thangmeiband Youth Centre (THYC) observed its 31st foundation day today at the office of the club located at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai.
The foundation day observance was kicked off with the offering of floral tribute on the portraits of deceased members of THYC.
Dignitaries present at the event include Laishram Sarangajit Singh, special class contractor; Yambem Sadananda, president, THYC; Dr Thokchom Chito, Head of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, RIMS; Huyam Kunjababu Meitei, advisor, THYC; Leishangthem Pratap, president, Thangmeiband United Club and Samjetsabam Mangoljao, former chairman of Film Forum Manipur as the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Leishangthem Pratap highlighted the role of local clubs in a society. He called upon the people to support their local clubs to build a better society for the younger generation.
During today's celebration, Yambem Kiran presented simple gifts to the families of founding members of THYC. Aside from this, gifts were also distributed to the senior citizens in the areas under the jurisdiction of THYC.
