VLF formation programme held

BISHNUPUR, Feb 2 : Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU), Moirang CD Block, Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) and Department of RD & PR, Government of Manipur jointly organised a 1-day Village Level Federation (VLF) Formation Programme at Ngangkhalawai Bamon Mandop, Ngangkhalawai village today.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Moirang AC MLA, Thongam Shanti stressed on the need to make the War on Drugs mission of the State Government a success to save the future generations.
He shared that the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focussed on empowering women and has initiated a number of projects/schemes to improve their socio-economic condition.
The MLA also expressed hope that the VLF formed today will work diligently and help improve the living standard & economy of the people.
Ex Zila Parishad member, M Birchandra Meitei; Executive Officer Moirang CD Block, O Dhananjoy; Block in-charge BMMU, MSRLM Moirang CD Block, Kumam Lenin; Oinam Rajbidya; Lamka Block incharge, Salam Bikram; Ngangkhalawai GP ward member, K Lata and L Premkumar also took part in the event.
It may be mentioned that the VLF which was constituted during the event included 21 Self Help Groups with 10 members each.
