Monthlong free coaching for JNV selection test begins

KANGPOKPI, Feb 2 : A 1-month free coaching for Class VI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2023 organised by Thadou Students' Association (TSA) Sadar Hills began on Thursday at Kanggui Christian College in Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by DFO Kangpokpi, N Ganesh; District Supply Officer Kangpokpi, Nicky and OC Kangpokpi Police Station, Inspector Sunil Kumar as presidium members.
Paogoulun Chongloi, deputy secretary general TSA GHQ and Rev Paominlen Kipgen, pastor Centre Church TBA Kangpokpi also took part in the event as chief host and minister respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, N Ganesh exhorted the students to give priority and more importance to education.
Sunil Kumar motivated the students to never indulge in drugs and other contraband items but rather focus on their education and avail the benefits of such free coaching organised by TSA.
"We have come across many young students who could not avail proper coaching owing to poverty and the absence of a proper coaching centre in the district, and considering the issue, we came up with the idea to offer a month free coaching to such students out of concern for their future as a student body", said the newly elected TSA Sadar Hills president, Paominlun Lhouvum.
He continued that the free coaching which will continue till February 28 will offer a basic foundation course specially designed for JNVST, weekly/monthly mock tests, and one-to-one doubt-clearing sessions under well-qualified and experienced teachers.
He also asserted that history has been scripted by introducing free coaching for students interested in the JNV entrance test, the first of its kind in the district.
It may be mentioned that the new executive members of TSA Sadar Hills were appointed by the president TSA General Headquarters on January 9.
The newly appointed members are Paominlun Lhouvum, Kamchon Kipgen (vice president), Thangrousiem Hangshing (general secretary), Lunsanglen Singsit (additional general secretary), Mangpi Kipgen (accountant), Lunminkai Kipgen (secretary), Kamneo Kipgen (secretary), Tonggoulal Lhanghal (secretary) and Lenjamang Hangshing (secretary).
