Weightlifting C'shipRedia lifts 132 kg to seal 45 kg category gold

IMPHAL, Mar 26 : Kh Redia Devi of KLYC lifted 57 kg in snatch and 75 kg in clean and jerk to amass 132 kg and win the title of 45 kg category in the Khelo India Women's Weightlifting Championship.
The championship is organised by Imphal West District Weightlifting Association at SAI-NERC Imphal, Takyel as a part of Dus Ka Dum initiative.
Y Thajamanbi (33 kg in snatch and 40 kg in clean and jerk) of YPSC was second in the competition and N Puspanjali of THYC (28 kg in snatch and 68 kg in clean and jerk) was third.
In the 49 kg category event, Th Sanju of NCOE Imphal  topped with the highest 149 kg lifting 65 kg in snatch and 84 kg in clean and jerk as K Nomita of JEC Patsoi (57 kg snatch and 83 kg in clean and jerk) and L Medam of UC (43 kg in snatch and 52 kg in clean and jerk) settled for the second and third places.
Kiuchangliue Gangmei of NCOE in the meantime sealed the 55 kg category title with a total lift of 146 kg, 62 kg in snatch and 84 kg in clean and jerk. L Roshni of NCOE (61 kg in snatch and 75 kg in clean and jerk) and N Jenevi of UC (55 kg snatch and 75 kg in clean and jerk) finished second and third.
In the 59 kg category competition, P Shakhenbi lifted 80 kg in snatch and 110 kg in clean and jerk to rack up 190 kg total for the top honour as P Ronibala (180 kg) of JEC and M Anjelina (131 kg) of YC finished second and third.
K Roshilata of NCOE bagged the 64 kg category title with a total lift of 195 kg, 111 kg in snatch and 195 kg in clean and jerk in a close competition with second placed Kh Anjali of UC who posted 194 kg, 85 kg in snatch and 109 kg in clean and jerk.
K Yaiphabi of THYC won the 71 kg title by lifting 60 kg in snatch and 79 kg in clean and jerk (139 kg total) as H Thoibinao of JEC (106 kg) and N Monalisha of YPAC (102 kg) were second and third.
S Chauba of JEC bagged the 76 kg title by lifting 75 kg in snatch and 95 kg in clean and jerk for the total lift of 170 kg. M Soniya Devi of PDA (108 kg) finished second in this category.
In the 81+ kg category, W Shapana of NCOE topped the tally recording 173 kg total (73 kg in snatch and 100 kg clean and jerk) as W Anjali of JEC (160 kg) and A Sayalika Chanu of PDA (115 kg) settled for the second and third places.
