Sub-Junior Taekwondo NationalsBoys kyorugi team, poomsae team finish second runners ups

IMPHAL, Mar 28 : Manipur boys kyorugi team and poomsae teams finished second runners up in the 36th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championships which culminated yesterday.
In the championships held since March 24 at JN Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, Wahengbam Binorjit (U-21 kg) and B Bidyananda Sharma (U-50 kg) won kyurogi gold medals and Nongmaithem Dushan (U-18) and Thongam Tooljit (U-41 kg) bagged bronze medals to help the team finish second runners up. In the girls' kyorugi competition, Ksh Taishi (U-47 kg) won a silver medal and Sanasam Velena (U-41 kg) bagged a bronze medal.
The State poomsae team in the meantime bagged a silver and two bronze medals to finish second runners up.
The pair of Thoudam Khagemba Meitei and Mayengbam Telesia Devi were able to seal a bronze medal before the group male team of Khagemba, Sukham Tondonba and Heisnam Abdash settled for a silver medal.
In the group female competition, RK Thoihenbi, Holina Asem and Irungbam Sarah bagged a bronze medal.
The kyorugi team were led by M Jamesbond as manager and L Naoboy and N Ranjit as coaches while the poomsae team were led by Thingbaijam Imom Chanu as manager and Sh Rojesh as coach.
