Holders Manipur romp to 5-0 win in Senior Women's NFC

IMPHAL, Mar 29 : Defending champions Manipur kicked off their 27th Senior Women's National Football Championship Group (VI) campaign with a 5-0 drubbing of Bihar today at Bangalore Football Stadium, Bengaluru.
S Rinaroy starred with a treble as Lynda Kom netted twice in this one sided match.
Rinaroy opened the scoring in the 7th minute and doubled the advantage in the 40th minute. The scoring spree continued with Lynda Kom who made it 3-0 after 47 minutes before Rinaroy had her third in the 51st minute.
Manipur continued to press hapless Bihar despite the comfortable lead and carved out a 5-0 finish with Lynda Kom scoring her second and match's final two minutes into the stoppage time.
Manipur will face Gujarat in the next match on April 2 at Bangalore Football Stadium. The match starts at 8 am.
