MNCA Elite cricketMPSC, Blue Hawk relegated; SCCC stay in top division after comfortable 76 runs win

IMPHAL, Mar 30 : MPSC Manipur Central Jail and Blue Hawk Khurai Lamlong have been relegated to superplate division of the MNCA cricket tournament as they finished in the bottom  two of the W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament .
SCCC Singjamei Thongam Leikai, on the other hand, managed  to evade relegation after beating Al-Ameen by 76 runs in their deciding game, today
Batting first in the match staged at Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground, SCCC set a target of 154/10 in 39.4 over and they bundled out the Lilong side for 77 in just 23.5 runs.
With this win, the Singjamei side managed to stay in the elite class of MNCA while MPSC and Blue Hawk have been relegated to the Superplate division.
The top scorers of SCCC were Basanta (35 runs); Jaali Ahmed  Chisti (29 runs) and Rahul Chanda (28 runs) while the highest wicket taker of the Lilong side was Muhammed Al Bashid who fell four wickets.
In the chase, the Lilong side scored only 77 runs, thereby losing the game by 76 runs. SCCC's H Rakeshwor Republic took five wickets in the innings and he was declared man of the match .  
TRAU Kwakeithel overwhelmed Blue Hawk by four wickets in another match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Blue Hawk's Mintu Chandra knocked 52 runs off 82 balls in  the match as the Khurai side bat first and set a target of 146/10 in 37.4 overs.
The highest wicket taker of TRAU Yumnam Amritakaran dismissed four wickets.
TRAU completed the chase in 38.5 overs with maximum runs  coming from opener Rahul RK who smashed 44 runs off 77 balls and skipper Dr Siddharh Shah who hit 26 off 14 balls.
TRAU knocked 147/6 in 36.5 overs and took home the win.
The wicket takers of the losing side were Semson Singh Soibam (4 wkts) and Mutum Pritam Singh (2 wkts).
Y Amritakaran was given the man of the match title for his  prolific bowling performance.
