IMPHAL, Mar 30 : Responding to a news story published by this paper yesterday regarding detection of four names of suspected outsiders in the PMJAY beneficiary list of Chanam Sandrok village, the State Health Agency has clarified that no health cards have been issued to them and they are not beneficiaries of the PMJAY.
A clarification issued today said as per guidelines issued by National Health Authority (NHA), New Delhi, individuals or families whose names are included in D-l. D-2, D-3, D-4, D-5, and D-7 categories under Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011 are eligible to be enrolled as beneficiaries under PMJAY.
The names mentioned in the news article are found in the SECC 2011 from Chanam Sandrok Village, Imphal East. The SECC 2011 was prepared by Registrar General of India/Census Commissioner of India in 2011.
No PMJAY card has been issued to the 4 (four) persons mentioned in the news item. Hence, there is no question of enrolling "outsiders" as beneficiaries since no PMJAY card has been generated/issued to them as per record of Beneficiary Identification System (BIS), a software developed by NHA and utilised by all States to enrol beneficiaries under PM-JAY, it said.
