Mizoram woman pulled up

IMPHAL, Mar 31: Close on the heels of the detection of four ‘outsiders’ in the electoral roll and PMJAY beneficiaries’ list of Chanam Sandrok, Imphal East district, a woman from Mizoram was pulled up by police from Wangkhem, Imphal East for violating the Inner Line Permit System (ILPS).
The Mizo woman was arrested by a team of Irilbung police station in the course of a search operation  conducted in some houses around Jesus Christ Baptist Church, Wangkhem today.
The particular houses belong to a tribal community and the Mizo woman was accommodated in a house located close to the Church.
Along with the Mizo woman, four other persons who were found in the same house were pulled up by police for verification.  
As the four persons were found to be natives of Manipur, they were later released but the woman from Mizoram was handed over to the District Magistrate.
The Mizo woman could not produce ILP pass nor Aadhaar card, sources said.
Of the four persons set free by police, two of them have the same Aadhaar card number, the sources added.
